Here are a few strategies that have worked for me:

  • Use rewards and incentives to motivate yourself: Rewarding yourself for sticking to your habit can be a great way to stay motivated. This could be something small and immediate, like a healthy snack or a few minutes of your favorite TV show, or something bigger and longer-term, like a new workout outfit or a day at the spa. Whatever works for you! Just make sure the reward is something you will actually look forward to.

  • Seek accountability from friends or a coach: Having someone else hold you accountable for your habit can be a big motivator. This could be a friend, family member, or accountability partner who checks in with you regularly to make sure you are sticking to your habit. Or, you might consider working with a coach or mentor who can provide guidance and support as you build your habit.

  • Celebrate small victories and progress: Building new habits takes time and effort, so it's important to celebrate your victories along the way. When you reach a milestone or make progress with your habit, treat yourself to something small, like a healthy snack or a new workout shirt. This can help keep you motivated and reinforce your new habit.
